Santiago Colombo and Yese Astarloa started to work together in 2019 with an interdisciplinary and site specific project at TACEC [Center of Experimentation and Creation of the Argentinian Theatre], where they explored how to habitate a space, how to make an archive and how to represent a process, and which ended with the site specific piece “To make a hole” at the Argentinian Theatre.

At the end of 2019 they started their ongoing project "A Mental Image of the World" with which they are developing an artistic investigation about cartography, territories and archives. In 2021 they will make the AADK Residency in Spain, with the project "Cartography in Process" as part of this territorial project.

During 2020 they worked in different pieces and researches about the territory, exploring how to produce poetic pieces about the space and the territory in a context of quarantine, how we are related to the virtual world and the new media, and how to keep researching and producing about the territory in a context of lockdown.

They exhibited their collaborative works in places and exhibitions as Mapping the Cartography [Next Museum, Alemania], Play Festival [UNNE], VideoBardo Festival [2020], Guerrilla Cartography [2020], Los Campitos [Villa Elisa, 2020], Brotes III [López Merino Palace, 2019], Archives for a Possible Memory [Argentinian Theatre, 2019], The choice of Hercules [University of Arts, 2019], ‘Planeta agua’ [Art Centre of the UNLP], AADK Spain [Spain, 2021 / scheduled].

Santiago and Yese have individual artistic productions and their own interests and explorations. In these projects, those individual researches converge in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary work. They aspire to enrich their artistic research creating networks while they develop this ongoing project in different territories and artistic scenes; in a permanent dialogue with other artists, with the community and with the contexts in which they are immersed. In this way, with “A Mental Image of the World” they also try to contribute and give their knowledge and experiences in a permanent feedback.
